Smart is a DTI scheme to help small businesses develop new, innovative products. Run as a competition the awards are given to those applications judged as best in the following criteria; technological potential, commercial potential and applicant capabilities. Amtek's application was recognised on its merits.

Whilst there are other Telephone Skills courses in the marketplace, Amtek offers users the unique opportunity to record and then hear their telephone manner. This provides the learner with a valuable insight to how they come across on the telephone, which provides a more realistic and ultimately more successful telephone training package.

The award allowed Amtek to bring forward development. With the project completed on time and to budget Amtek look forward to marketing both standard and customised versions of this product.
